Our Governance Framework
Ashrafia Madrasah operates under a Board of Trustees composed of respected scholars and community leaders who ensure compliance, transparency, and integrity in all educational and financial matters
Mr. Syed Nuruddin Ahmed (Founder of Ashrafia Madrasah) has over 30 years of experience in the development sector, holding a Master’s in Management and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors from the University of Dhaka. He has worked globally on numerous projects, served on the board of Maxwell Stamp Ltd., and is the founding Managing Trustee of the British Business Group Trust (FCDO).
He also founded Thriving Skills Limited and SNAD Foundation in Bangladesh. Mr. Ahmed has been involved in development projects across 20 countries in Asia, supported by organizations like WB, ADB, UKAID, and the UN. He led the Chars Livelihood Program, a major poverty reduction project spanning 12 years, which won the British Expertise Award in 2008/09. Additionally, he has lectured and served as a scholar at universities in the US.
